Professor Edelmann is a Chartered Psychologist, a HCPC Registered Clinical, Forensic and Health Psychologist and a Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
From 1986 until 1997 he was involved in Clinical Psychology training at the University of Surrey where he also directed a Masters programme in Health Psychology and in 1996 established and directed one of the first Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology in the United Kingdom.
From 1999 until 2007 he worked in full-time independent practice offering consultancy, psychological therapy, medico-legal expertise, teaching and research as well as being involved in a number of media activities – see the page in which you are interested. From 2007 to 2016 in addition to his independent practice he was Professor of Forensic and Clinical Psychology on a part-time basis. He is currently Emeritus Professor of Forensic and Clinical Psychology.
